WMF Daniel Madison

This weeks WMF is the very untalented Daniel Madison who clearly needs to learn to enunciate. English is his first language right? But at least he is not as bad as Kevin Parker. Anyway, here is a clip of the very untalented Daniel Madison.

Did you notice it? The crappy handling of the cards prior to the tearing of the corner? There are much more natural ways to show a card with a missing corner. Weird isn't it... because I have seen the very untalented Daniel Madison doing fancy looking sleight of hand.

So why the difference? I do not know, but I recognize the signs if a magicians doesn't think his stuff through. And the very untalented Daniel Madison is a typical case. I do not even know how he made it into the Theory11 list. I would not hire a magician who looks like a hippie who is stoned out of one's head and is in desperate need for a hair cut. And what is up with all the black and white? Artistic choice, if so, not my taste.

Okay, I gotta give him one thing. He does have the physique that makes me fear him. I bet he could beat the shit out of me. More than he can do magic. That is for sure.

his Kutcher-esq wardrobe had me in stitches...

I feel like like maybe he got dressed in the wrong order...

WTF? I've just discovered your blog and am enjoying pouring through these past posts. But I have to disagree completely with you on this one. You WISH you could get the reaction DM got with this one.

You're like the Blaine complainers who harp on certain aspects of his technique while ignoring the fact that he destroyed his spectators.

I think DM is a huge talent, and both videos bear that out.

Well I am not say he is a bad magician, I am just saying that his skill seems to vary from time to time. I am missing the consistency of his character which seems to be all over the place. Is his stuff hard hitting? YES!... is it truly his? NO!

So if he really is talented, then he is in desperate need to find a suitable character, and to even up his skill level to a balanced degree.

But that's just my opinion.

Madison was a flavor of the week. Nothing more. Where is he now? Gone. And good riddance.

I find Daniel Madison to be very talented, bearing in mind that his 'un-comfortable' persona is just an act. I'd like to bring it to your attention that in person, he's lovely and very skillful when it comes to sleight of hand. I don't have anything against people speaking their mind, just remember that he does that on purpose.

Well, I know that this post has more than three years, but I've seen it only now, and I have to say that Daniel Madison is one of the most talented people in all the world of sleight of hand with cards ..probably after his performance at Fool Us you have seen it better than four years ago.. but trust me, he's talented and most important, he's not a magician. He's a card cheat that got into magic industry after several facts in his life, and he doesn't want to be considered a magician. You can read his biography at his website..

How many seconds have you been part of the deceptive arts community cause you clearly don't know how talented this man is.. I really hate it when people who do crappy magic they learned from a terrible kids book rail on people like DM he is talent you are not..

'the deceptive arts community'. I hereby create the 'WPC' award to compliment the WMF.

You sir, get the 'Weekly Pretentious Cunt' award.

First of all Dakota, don't say deceptive arts community. Just say magic community. Second, just because Daniel Madison is talented, does not mean that Roland, or anybody who criticizes him is not talented.

Talent does not exist, only hard work.

To criticize what you do not know is the act of a fool. That goes for anything in life. Not sure how I stumbled upon this article 6 years after it was written... The Internet is a funny place, filled with Cunts and people unwilling to make a name for themselves, so they tear others down instead.

Pathetic.

Talent absolutely DOES exist. If this were not true, then anyone who worked hard enough could make a violin with the sound quality equal to a Stradivarius; anyone could be a concert pianist - nobody would be better than anyone else at anything.

Work certainly plays a role. If you have the talent but you don't work at it, then you won't be very good at it. That doesn't change the fact that your talent will take your farther than someone without talent.

Michael Jordan is the perfect example, here. A talented basketball player, it's hard to find anyone who compares to him. Then he decided he could play baseball, too, because, you know, it's not a matter of talent, it's a matter of hard work. Didn't take him too long to realize that he wasn't a baseball player - better than an average guy on the street, but all the work in the world wasn't going to make him as good as the other professionals who had a talent for baseball. He went back to basketball which is where his talent lied and where he was a superstar.

Yes, sir, there is a such a thing called 'talent'. It doesn't take the place of hard work, but it does, in fact, exist.

Lol Daniel Madison is a parasite to the art of magic (by stealing and lying) and a card handler of average skill.
