Gee that brings back memories!

I believe I saw this cartoon before I ever saw a magician. That clearly shaped my understanding of what commercial effects are. In fact I remember seeing the part with the endless silks tied to each other and I loved the method.

The real question is why he uses real proper genuine wizard magic to begin with and then resorts to 'tricks' for the rest.

Cartoons are weird.

Well is that the case... or did it just look like real magic powers from the front?

Its amazing that you bang on about exposure all the time and yet happily show this cartoon with all its exposure.

I'm going to have to remove that elephant trick from my set now.

True but if that's the case, transforming an audience members snack into an egg from a distance has to be the greatest effect ever devised.

The glove thing might be possible under the right light

Are you really over analyzing this? ;)

Stacy said...

No, over analyzing it was the point when I realised all the screwups and exposures from that point on were in fact a scripted routine to prevent the audience from figuring out Lula was a stooge all along, a secret accomplice on the lollipop to egg routine.

It fooled everyone but me ;D

Mike, just change the elephant to another animal, I did a similar thing with the fake thumb trick, I changed the silk from red to green, they now don't have a clue. Hope this helps ;-)

I've watched this a number of times now, it's obvious she's part of the act, a stooge, I'm kinda disappointed now :-(

I kinda knew that she was a stooge when she made everyone in the front row move along one space, funny how there was just one empty seat in the front row?
