René Lavand has died. The Magic world is in imminent peril to dropping the bar he's raised. We have lost another great one. Also Dean Dill. What a tragic weekend for magic kind. Both were respectable performers and have pushed the magic art. One more so than the other.
But now that the bar has been lowered again, this is totally acceptable again:

I do not know if that was ever acceptable. Maybe it is just cultural differences though.
I thought it was brilliant. Really well thought out and routined. I think even magicians will be a little bit baffled as to when and where the steals were made.
Damn, when I read the title I thought it was going to be a review of a Simon Lovell lecture.
My God, it's like Sam Kinison, Denis Leary and circa 1987 Bobcat Goldthwait had a French perpetually drunk child.
