A bit of snobbery? Why, pray tell, is it wrong to deliver pizzas if you are a magician? I delivered pizzas for 6 years before going full time pro and I can tell you that it is a lucrative field (no less than $500.00 weekly, after tax).
Of course, I've always believed that any legal way of making one's living is an honorable way of making a living - you folks may feel differently, though. Quite possibly you believe the guy that delivers pizza to your door is a lesser human being than yourself. Is he the scum of the earth, do you believe?
I deliver pizzas. I'm a poor college student. I was not offended.
Delivering is one of those archetypal, low-end upstart jobs.
How about this: replace "magician" with "actor," and "pizza delivery guy" with "waiter." Now would that be snobbish? Not at all. Why? Cuz it's a harmless stereotype that everyone is familiar with.
I don't quite get the pizza stuff ... ?
ReplyDeleteThe magician's delivering pizza for a living...
ReplyDeletePathetic... but the truth is way worse apply to 90% of magicians worldwide.

Yep, complete and unadulterated snobbery.
