I'm not a magician, but I have read about a few card tricks methods. I'm guessing this is how it is done. If you don't want to know the secret don't decode this message.
Well, the way I understood it, the intentionally sloppy double-lift (or rather, mock-double lift) was intended as a setup for the later sucker effect, which definitely got me! I can't think of any way a magician WOULDN'T expect that card on the table to have turned into the two of spades. I chuckled out loud when Roland revealed it to be precisely the card he had claimed to put face down on the table. Damn, aren't we a twisted lot. :)
Well, it fooled me.
ReplyDeleteMe too, Dan!
ReplyDeleteThat was ...pretty good.
ReplyDeleteFooled.
ReplyDeleteGODDAM YOU!

I still have a hard time following your card manipulation, shuffling, etc. Well done. When you make the switch it is very smooth.
Nice work! Fooled me the first time!
ReplyDeleteThat's nice, Roland. I'm not too fond of the timing on the secret-something, but I suppose it could be switched up a bit.
ReplyDeleteSort your double lift out !!! Other than that...nice
