If not check out this nifty Howcast video tutorial.
Actually I think this brilliant. The video promises a great trick. It seems legit, as lines like "Most magic stores have these" make it feel well researched by Howcast. Then the execution is so bloody awful with no convincers, no setup, no payoff... that all you feel is utter disappointment. Suddenly you don't wanna know anymore magic secrets. We need more of these.
Wow, that's incredible. Isaac Newton invented the colour wheel.
ReplyDeleteHoly crap! I'm going to try that on my friends. The ribbon spread is a super nice touch that proves large motion over small makes minds explode and girls wet.
ReplyDeleteThe problem with the target audience for this how-to is that immediately after performing it the friends of the asolute beginner magician will say "I know a card trick too!", grab the deck and make a disappointed "aww" sound as they try to peek the 13th card from the bottom.
ReplyDeleteStacy hit the nail on the head. The first thing any audience would do is check the cards or try to use them. Using an entire deck of double-backers is not merely stupid and unmotivated; it is bound to reveal the secret seconds after the performance.
ReplyDeleteThey should at least have offered some motivation for a point of misdirection while they turn their hand over. Doing it fast is not going to make it invisible...
That sucks, really sucks.
ReplyDeleteThe video looks like a hand of a twelve years old kid.
By the way, seems the thickness of the deck is a 104 cards.
When the caption appears 'Don't let them look at the bottom of the deck' and immediately turn over the whole deck, I burst into laughter...
LOL....!!!
