Umm how did Tim get mentioned here? He's not wearing a bandanna in either of those clips and is in fact wearing a costume for both. Not sure what your point was supposed to be KikeNiCo.
I tought the thing was "old people dressed like young", just like Topas and the bandana, or Florian and the hip-graffiti-kiddo thing. And for the record, I don't mention it in a mean way: it's clear to me that the Ellis routines are funny cheesy acts on purpose.
Considering the old rock Topas is basing his routine on, I think the headband isn't meant to make him look young but to evoke a character type. Headbands are pretty standard gear for an aging rocker -- check out Stevie Van Zandt from Bruce Springsteen's E Street band for example. I'm not saying it works but that's my guess for what he was after.
