He reads a book every day, and never reads fiction.
He never watches "current" TV programs like soap operas, dramas, games shows or comedies. Geoffrey only watches history, travel programs, or documentaries.
He does not drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes, or gamble and has never drank a can of beer in his life!
In other words: He has no fun! A least his website is fun to read.
But something is missing. Oh yeah a silent video!
People can live the way they want. I just hope he can still connect to audiences that are so wildly different from him.
ReplyDeleteWhy do all of the '70s magicians look like porn stars? Pitessen!
ReplyDeleteI knew Geoffrey years ago in Las Vegas. We all kinda thought he was a bit eccentric, but a really nice guy.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize he was still around.
Geoferry Hansen was a whacko!!! I worked with him at the crappy Houdini's magic shop back in 2003...all he did was talk about himself....he always said he knew a bunch of famous people....but could never prove it....he needs to just die already.
ReplyDeleteGeoffrey Hansen is a Senior citizen. Geoffrey has preformed in nightclubs, theaters, and television in over 40 countries. In the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s was a well known tv personality. Geoffrey wrote the entertainment column for a Las Vegas newspaper for over ten years.
ReplyDeleteHe wrote the show biz column for over a decade for a Las Vegas newspaper and before that the "Personality Parade" column in The NEW TOPS magazine published by ABBOTT's. Hansen was on television for years and years. These are the facts.
ReplyDeleteAnother magician who has never had a drink in his life is Penn Jillette. Both of these guys know how to have a good time. Drinking or smoking dosen't make you a fun person. Working in Las Vegas, being on tour, and being on tv will put you in touch with famous people, and if you are genuinely nice and pleasant like Hansen is, you won't be able to help but make friends with some of them. If you ever have a chance to meet him, talk to him. He is VERY knowledgeable, and will tell you all about when Michael Jackson used to come into the shop and hide in the secret room. @pimpmagic if you ever worked at the same time as him you would have seen the pictures he has of him and MJ along with other famous people he knows. @Roland if you think older magicians are a fail, you should check out the father of modern magic; Jean Eugène Robert-Houdin. He never even made a website! LOL!
ReplyDeleteGeoffrey is a legend in his own mind.
ReplyDeleteGeoffrey Hansen has been a very experienced and knowledgable PROFESSIONAL magician his entire life. And when I say PROFESSIONAL I am not simply talking about his performing ability. I am talking about his attitude. And part of a professional attitude is showing respect to others who have never done you any harm. Part of being a professional is not to deride other people online. It would behoove the owner of this ridiculous blog to take it down as it may well impede his own ability to get professional work. Either that or make sure it doesn't show up in search engines.
ReplyDeleteBut back to Geoffrey. He never says a bad word about anyone. It is called respect. And I think he deserves the respect garnered by a long career and dedication to the art not to be mocked by the young and stupid who couldn't hold a candle to him as a performer and more importantly a decent human being.
I started working with Geoffrey Hansen in November of 1999. Yes Geoffrey knows who he says he does. Don't believe it? If you are into Professional Wrestling at all. Walk up to any of the current or former Wrestlers that you have heard Geoff say that he is friends with and ask them if they know Magican Geoffrey Hansen. They will tell you "Yes I do!" Who may those people be? The Hart Family, Ric Flair, Billy Kidman. Cowboy Bob Orton Jr. and many others.
