  2. "Masterful" handling skills aside..."I'm writing a prediction" AFTER you've chosen the card (?) and here you go, some gibberish writing (?)...Yup, that makes sense...

Anyway, what's even worse, this thing is not even original. I should check it, but I'm pretty sure a similar trick was published by Kaufman in one of those "Magic from Japan" compilations...

EDIT. I've just remembered now: Maeda's "New Era Moving Pips".

  3. They both made glaringly obvious errors. Jesse made a prediction after the selection was chosen and added to the trouble by saying something came through. A prediction is a forethought. You have it BEFORE the choice is made.

Markus' error was even worse. He wrote on a cardbox and had the writing appear underneath the plastic wrapper. I call shenanigans (and a gimmicked box).

  4. Let's not give a free pass to the English speaker -- this is a concept from the Jinx (and Phoenix, and I am sure more) and I think appeared pretty much like this (give or take the chosen card) in a Linking Ring parade 20 odd years ago.

The fail is putting out stuff that isn't even new, let alone yours. A bigger one might be people who actually buy this kind of stuff because they don't read.

  5. Thanks for the input "dfwtheater". I didn't know it could be traced back THAT much (I guessed it could, tho: not that revolutionary concept). I should keep up my reading of the classics!
